The Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC), 76-35 in Friday's league bout.
The Buccaneers now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to North Brunswick for a bout on Tuesday, January 21. Laney will play a Scorpions team coming off a 74-55 non-league win over Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 10-5.
With the loss, Ashley falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Screaming eagle travel to Topsail (Hampstead, NC) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Topsail lost 74-55 in their recent non-league bout against North Brunswick (Leland, NC)
