North Carolina High School Basketball - Broughton overwhelms Sanderson

January 17, 2025: Raleigh, NC 27605

The Broughton Capitals basketball team scored 59 points and limited the visiting Sanderson Spartans to 33 in the Capitals league triumph on Friday.

The Capitals now have a 10-0 record. They play next when they travel to Garner for a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. Broughton will confront a Trojans team coming off a 60-48 league win over Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, Sanderson falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host Enloe (Raleigh, NC) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 22. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 7-5. Enloe won 43-31 in their recent non-league game against Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC)
