The Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA) basketball edged the visiting Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA), 56-52 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Knights now possess a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Nottoway for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. Buckingham will face a Cougars squad coming off a 39-31 non-league win over Cumberland (Cumberland, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 11-0.
The Statesmen (5-4) will now prepare for their outing against Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA). The Chargers enter the non-league outing with a 2-6 record. In their last outing, Lunenburg Central was nipped by Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA), 54-31, in a non-league outing.
