The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the De La Salle Meteors (Chicago, IL) and the host St. Rita Mustangs (Chicago, IL), observed De La Salle's basketball team knock off St. Rita by a score of 56-47.

The Meteors (13-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Payton College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Grizzlies come into the non-league challenge with a 8-6 record. In their last challenge, Payton College Prep was knocked off by Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL), 40-34, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the Westinghouse Warriors (Chicago, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. St. Rita will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record.
