North Carolina High School Basketball - Swansboro overwhelms Dixon

The Swansboro Pirates basketball team scored 48 points and limited the host Dixon Bulldogs to 19 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now have a 9-2 record. They play next when they host West Carteret for a game on Tuesday, January 21. Swansboro will confront a Patriots team coming off a 79-47 non-league loss to J.H. Rose (Greenville, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Dixon falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host White Oak (Jacksonville, NC) to confront the Vikings in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 6-1. White Oak won 62-54 in their recent non-league game against Croatan (Newport, NC)
