The East Henderson Eagles basketball squad (East Flat Rock, NC), was nudged 46-39 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC)
With the victory, Smoky Mountain advances its record to 6-7 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Pisgah (Canton, NC) to meet the Bears in a battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Bears enter the battle with a record of 14-2. Pisgah won 50-35 in their recent non-league battle against Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC)
The Eagles now own a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. East Henderson will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 54-23 non-league win over Hayesville (Hayesville, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 10-2.
