South Carolina High School Basketball - Laurens thwarts Emerald

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Laurens Raiders (Laurens, SC) and the host Emerald Vikings (Greenwood, SC), observed Laurens's basketball team knock off Emerald by a score of 27-17.

The Raiders (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Fountain Inn (Fountain Inn, SC). The Fury come into the challenge with a 2-3 record.

In their next game, the Vikings encounter the Wren Hurricanes (Piedmont, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Emerald will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 41-35 league loss to Westside (Anderson, SC).
