The Hobbton Wildcats basketball squad (Newton Grove, NC), was nudged 44-42 in Friday's league battle with the host Neuse Charter Cougars (Smithfield, NC)
With the victory, Neuse Charter advances its record to 3-8 on the year. The Cougars travel to Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC) to meet the Eagles in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 2-6.
The Wildcats now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lakewood for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. Hobbton will meet a Leopards squad coming off a 58-47 non-league win over North Duplin (Calypso, NC). The Leopards record now stands at 5-3.
