The Hoover Vikings nipped the host Jackson Polar Bears basketball squad by a final score of 44-38 in Friday's non-league outing.

Next, the Vikings face the St. Edward Eagles (Lakewood, OH) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, January 22. Hoover will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record. The Eagles enter the outing with a 6-1 record after their 59-46 non-league win over St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, OH).
