In Friday's league contest, the host Willow Canyon Wildcats basketball team scored a big 73-52 win over the Kellis Cougars.
The Wildcats (11-1) will now prepare for their contest against Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ). The Mustangs come into the contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Sunrise Mountain was trounced by Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ), 53-40, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Lake Havasu Knights (Lake Havasu City, AZ) in a contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Kellis will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Knights come into the contest with a 0-6 record after their 76-22 non-league loss to Verrado (Buckeye, AZ).
