In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Monterey Plainsmen basketball team scored a big 75-18 win over the Lubbock Westerners.
The Plainsmen (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Tascosa (Amarillo, TX). The Rebels come into the contest with a 1-1 record.
In their next game, the Westerners battle the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Lubbock will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
