The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM) and the visiting Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM), observed Navajo Prep's basketball team overwhelm Thoreau by a score of 66-12.
The Eagles (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Zuni (Zuni, NM). The Thunderbirds come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record.
In their next game, the Hawks encounter the Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Thoreau will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 36-32 non-league win over Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM).
