In Friday's non-league bout, the host North Brunswick Scorpions basketball team scored a good 74-55 triumph over the Topsail Pirates.
The Scorpions now possess a 10-5 record. They play next when they host Laney for a bout on Tuesday, January 21. North Brunswick will play a Buccaneers team coming off a 76-35 league win over Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 7-2.
With the loss, Topsail falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Pirates host Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to play the Screaming Eagle in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Screaming Eagle go into the bout with a record of 5-7. Ashley lost 76-35 in their recent league bout against Laney (Wilmington, NC)
