The Salem Rocks (Canton, MI) basketball edged the host Novi Wildcats (Novi, MI), 48-44 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Rocks now hold a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brighton for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 21. Salem will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 56-50 non-league win over Plymouth (Canton, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-0.
The Wildcats (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Howell (Howell, MI). The Highlanders come into the non-league test with a 9-3 record. In their last test, Howell held off Hartland (Hartland, MI), 60-42, in a non-league test.
