Virginia High School Basketball - Salem knocks off Pulaski County

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Salem Spartans basketball team scored a good 36-21 win over the Pulaski County Cougars.

The Spartans (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against Amherst County (Amherst, VA). The Lancers come into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Amherst County dropped by Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA), 40-36, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 20. Pulaski County will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Buffaloes come into the contest with a 5-2 record after their 47-31 non-league loss to Glenvar (Salem, VA).
