SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Washington Pam Pack (Washington, NC), 53-50 in a non-league match.

With the victory, SouthWest Edgecombe advances its record to 5-3 on the year. The Cougars travel to Tarboro (Tarboro, NC) to face the Vikings in a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 5-0.

The Pam Pack now own a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ayden - Grifton for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21.
