In Friday's non-league contest, the host Southwestern Randolph Cougars basketball team scored a big 48-27 triumph over the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles.

The Cougars (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls go into the non-league contest with a 3-7 record.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Wheatmore Warriors (Trinity, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Uwharrie Charter Academy will attempt to better on its 5-9 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 11-2 record after their 47-40 non-league win over Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC).
