The Lamar Raiders soccer squad scored 8 points and held the host Magnolia Heights Chiefs to 1 in the Raiders league victory on Friday.
The Raiders now hold a 10-2 record. They play next when they travel to Starkville Academy for a bout on Tuesday, January 21. Lamar will play a Volunteers squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Heritage Academy (Columbus, MS). The Volunteers record now stands at 3-4.
With the loss, Magnolia Heights moves to 1-3 on the year. The Chiefs host Strayhorn (Sarah, MS) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Strayhorn won 4-0 in their recent non-league bout against Winona (Winona, MS)
