Winona Winhawks (Winona, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Albert Lea Tigers (Albert Lea, MN), 78-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Winona upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Winhawks host Mayo (Rochester, MN) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league bout on Friday, January 21. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Mayo won 71-62 in their recent league bout against Northfield (Northfield, MN)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Red Wing Wingers (Red Wing, MN) in a AAA Section 1 bout, on Friday, January 21. Albert Lea will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record.
