Covenant Christian Eagles (Tuscumbia, AL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Sheffield Bulldogs (Sheffield, AL), 71-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Covenant Christian upgrades its record to 17-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Waterloo (Waterloo, AL) to play the Cougars in a 1A Area 16 bout on Thursday, January 20. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 0-8.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Colbert Heights Wildcats (Tuscumbia, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 21. Sheffield will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record.
