    In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) basketball squad beat the visiting Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL), by a margin of 88-72.

    The Braves (15-4) will now prepare for their outing against Lincoln (Lincoln, IL). The Railsplitters go into the Apollo outing with a 15-3 record. In their last outing, Lincoln defeated Bloomington (Bloomington, IL), 55-43, in a non-league outing.

    The Eagles now own a 0-21 record. They play next when they travel to Tolono Unity for a Illini Prairie outing on Friday, January 21. Rantoul will clash with a Rockets squad coming off a 57-40 league win over St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 13-4.
