The Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA) basketball knocked off the host Castro Valley Trojans (Castro Valley, CA), 80-72 in Wednesday's league test.
The Hornets (14-3) will now prepare for their test against San Leandro (San Leandro, CA). The Pirates go into the West Alameda County - Foothill test with a 5-11 record. In their last test, San Leandro notched a victory over Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA), 56-54, in a league test.
The Trojans now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to St. Joseph Notre Dame for a West Alameda County - Foothill test on Friday, January 20. Castro Valley will encounter a Pilots squad coming off a 58-49 league loss to Berkeley (Berkeley, CA). The Pilots record now stands at 5-10.
