In Wednesday's league outing, the St. Monica Mariners (Santa Monica, CA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals (Montebello, CA), by a margin of 86-26.

The Mariners (9-12) will now prepare for their outing against St. Genevieve (Panorama City, CA). The Valiants go into the Santa Fe outing with a 12-10 record. In their last outing, St. Genevieve smashed Mary Star of the Sea (San Pedro, CA), 54-52, in a league outing.

The Cardinals now own a 1-19 record. They play next when they travel to Bosco Tech for a Santa Fe outing on Friday, January 20. Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 83-40 league win over Verbum Dei (Los Angeles, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 16-5.
