Mountain View Yellowjackets (Mountain View, AR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cave City Cavemen (Cave City, AR), 54-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Mountain View upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Tuckerman (Tuckerman, AR) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 3A Region 2 bout on Friday, January 20. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 13-12. Tuckerman lost 56-52 in their recent league bout against Melbourne (Melbourne, AR)

Next up, the Cavemen clash with the Newport Greyhounds (Newport, AR) in a 3A Region 2 bout, on Saturday, January 21. Cave City will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 74-31 league win over Hoxie (Hoxie, AR).
