The Piggott Mohawks basketball team (Piggott, AR), was nudged 71-66 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Corning Bobcats (Corning, AR)
The Bobcats now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gosnell for a 3A Region 3 battle on Tuesday, January 24. Corning will battle a Pirates team coming off a 57-54 league loss to Rivercrest (Wilson, AR). The Pirates record now stands at 7-9.
The Mohawks (7-11) will now prepare for their battle against Manila (Manila, AR). The Lions come into the 3A Region 3 battle with a 12-3 record. In their last battle, Manila edged Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR), 55-25, in a league battle.
