The Dakota Cougars basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Sterling Heights Stevenson Titans to 37 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Cougars now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grosse Pointe South for a Macomb Area - Red contest on Friday, January 20. Dakota will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 57-47 league win over L'Anse Creuse North (Macomb, MI). The Blue Devils record now stands at 8-3.

The Titans (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Chippewa Valley (Clinton Township, MI). The Big Reds enter the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Chippewa Valley was outscored by Roseville (Roseville, MI), 57-51, in a league contest.
