Lewiston Blue Devils (Lewiston, ME) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Deering Rams (Portland, ME), 66-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Lewiston upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Blue Devils host Scarborough (Scarborough, ME) to clash with the Red Storm in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Red Storm go into the bout with a record of 3-8. Scarborough lost 66-52 in their recent league bout against Gorham (Gorham, ME)

Next up, the Rams clash with the South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Deering will attempt to upgrade on its 0-12 season record. The Red Riots go into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 82-61 league loss to Thornton Academy (Saco, ME).
