The Ferndale Wildcats basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Laytonville Warriors to 45 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Bernard's for a Humboldt-Del Norte - Little 4 contest on Friday, January 20. Ferndale will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 63-60 non-league loss to Fortuna (Fortuna, CA). The Crusaders record now stands at 9-8.

The Warriors (0-9) will now prepare for their contest against Mendocino (Mendocino, CA). The Cardinals enter the North Central III contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, Mendocino ran past Potter Valley (Potter Valley, CA), 62-48, in a league contest.
