Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Howard Eagles (Wilson, NC) and the visiting Wake Prep Academy Guardians (Wake Forest, NC), saw Howard's basketball squad knock off Wake Prep Academy by a count of 61-44.

With the victory, Howard upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Iron Academy (Raleigh, NC) to play the Swordsmen in a CAASC Triangle challenge on Friday, January 20. The Swordsmen come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Iron Academy lost 81-36 in their recent league challenge against Wayne Preparatory Academy (Goldsboro, NC)

Next up, the Guardians play the Mount Zion Christian Academy Mighty Warriors (Durham, NC) in a CAASC Triangle challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Wake Prep Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Mighty Warriors come into the challenge with a 12-8 record after their 78-64 league loss to NC GBB Academy National (Durham, NC).
