Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Van Buren Crusaders (Van Buren, ME), 73-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Katahdin upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Easton (Easton, ME) to play the Bears in a D North bout on Thursday, January 19. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 9-2. Easton lost 61-52 in their recent league bout against Wisdom (St. Agatha, ME)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Easton Bears (Easton, ME) in a D North bout, on Saturday, January 21. Van Buren will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 48-46 league loss to Katahdin (Sherman Station, ME).
