The Newark Reds (Newark, NY) basketball nipped the host Wayne Eagles (Ontario Center, NY), 63-58 in Wednesday's league test.
The Reds (9-2) will now prepare for their test against Palmyra-Macedon (Palmyra, NY). The Red Raiders go into the Section 5 Finger Lakes - East test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Palmyra-Macedon got by Mynderse Academy (Seneca Falls, NY), 57-52, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Geneva for a Section 5 Finger Lakes - East test on Friday, January 20.
