Newsome Wolves (Lithia, FL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Riverview Sharks (Riverview, FL), 59-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Newsome upgrades its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Bay (Panama City, FL) to play the Tornadoes in a 4A District 1 bout on Friday, January 20. The Tornadoes come into the bout with a record of 13-3. Bay won 52-37 in their recent non-league bout against Mosley (Lynn Haven, FL)

Next up, the Sharks play the King Lions (Tampa, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Riverview will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 62-60 non-league loss to Jesuit (Tampa, FL).
