Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD) and the visiting St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC), saw Bishop McNamara's basketball squad overcome St. John's by a tally of 59-50.

With the victory, Bishop McNamara improves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA) to confront the Knights in a VISAA Division I challenge on Friday, January 20. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 9-7. Bishop O'Connell lost 63-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD)

Next up, the Cadets confront the The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD) in a Washington Catholic challenge, on Friday, January 20. St. John's will attempt to improve on its 12-6 season record. The Tartans come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 74-27 non-league loss to Paul VI (Chantilly, VA).
