Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL), 67-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Larkin upgrades its record to 11-11 on the campaign. The Royals host South Elgin (South Elgin, IL) to play the Storm in a Upstate Eight bout on Friday, January 20. The Storm come into the bout with a record of 9-14. South Elgin lost 48-28 in their recent league bout against Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL)

Next up, the Maroons play the Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL) in a Upstate Eight bout, on Friday, January 20. Elgin will attempt to upgrade on its 7-17 season record. The Tomcats come into the bout with a 17-4 record after their 60-29 league win over Streamwood (Streamwood, IL).
