The South Plainfield Tigers basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Kennedy Memorial Mustangs to 35 in the Tigers league triumph on Wednesday.
The Tigers now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Perth Amboy for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 19. South Plainfield will battle a Panthers team coming off a 63-38 non-league loss to North Plainfield (North Plainfield, NJ). The Panthers record now stands at 5-7.
The Mustangs (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Middlesex (Middlesex, NJ). The Bluejays enter the non-league contest with a 10-1 record. In their last contest, Middlesex ran past J.P. Stevens (Edison, NJ), 57-45, in a non-league contest.
