California High School Basketball - Lynwood can't hold off Paramount

January 18, 2023: Paramount, CA 90723

The Paramount Pirates basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Lynwood Knights to 43 in the Pirates league victory on Wednesday.

The Pirates now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Downey for a Gateway contest on Friday, January 20. Paramount will battle a Vikings team coming off a 58-53 non-league loss to West (Torrance, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 15-7.

The Knights (13-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mayfair (Lakewood, CA). The Monsoons come into the Gateway contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Mayfair was nudged by Warren (Downey, CA), 52-27, in a league contest.
