Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA), 48-31 in a league bout.

With the victory, Placer upgrades its record to 9-11 on the campaign. The Hillmen travel to West Park (Roseville, CA) to play the Panthers in a Foothill Valley bout on Friday, January 20. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 11-8. West Park lost 54-41 in their recent league bout against Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA)

Next up, the Miners play the Oakmont Vikings (Roseville, CA) in a Foothill Valley bout, on Friday, January 20. Nevada Union will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 12-7 record after their 69-23 league loss to Lincoln (Lincoln, CA).
