In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA), by a margin of 45-13.
The Cougars (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against Halifax County (South Boston, VA). The Comets go into the non-league outing with a 1-7 record. In their last outing, Halifax County was trounced by Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA), 49-29, in a non-league outing.
The Cavaliers now own a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Dan River for a non-league outing on Friday, January 20. Chatham will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 34-6 non-league loss to Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-8.
