The Havelock Rams basketball team scored 43 points and held the host West Carteret Patriots to 40 in the Rams non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Rams now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Bern for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 25.

The Patriots (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 2-10 record. In their last contest, Dixon was nudged by Richlands (Richlands, NC), 65-28, in a non-league contest.
