Monticello Panthers (Monticello, IA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Anamosa Raiders (Anamosa, IA), 83-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Monticello upgrades its record to 11-0 on the campaign. The Panthers host Regina (Iowa City, IA) to play the Regals in a River Valley bout on Saturday, January 20. The Regals come into the bout with a record of 11-2. Regina won 70-28 in their recent league bout against Durant (Durant, IA)

Next up, the Raiders play the North Cedar Knights (Stanwood, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Anamosa will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 66-60 non-league loss to Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA).
