Arizona High School Basketball - Apache Junction overwhelmed by Cortez

The Apache Junction Prospectors basketball team (Apache Junction, AZ), was overwhelmed 62-20 in Thursday's league battle with the host Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ)

The Colts now possess a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coronado for a 4A Black Canyon battle on Friday, January 19. Cortez will battle a Dons team coming off a 79-35 league loss to Dysart (El Mirage, AZ). The Dons record now stands at 9-9.

The Prospectors (6-14) will now prepare for their battle against Tempe (Tempe, AZ). The Buffaloes come into the 4A Black Canyon battle with a 8-14 record. In their last battle, Tempe trounced Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ), 57-52, in a league battle.
