Avondale Yellowjackets (Auburn Hills, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Oxford Wildcats (Oxford, MI), 46-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Avondale upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Bloomfield Hills (Bloomfield Hills, MI) to play the Black Hawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Black Hawks come into the bout with a record of 2-8.
