Pinnacle Pioneers (Phoenix, AZ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Boulder Creek Jaguars (Anthem, AZ), 70-62 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pinnacle upgrades its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Mountain Ridge (Glendale, AZ) to play the Mountain Lions in a 6A Desert Valley bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Mountain Lions come into the bout with a record of 8-14. Mountain Ridge lost 76-71 in their recent league bout against Liberty (Peoria, AZ)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Sunnyslope Vikings (Phoenix, AZ) in a 6A Desert Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Boulder Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 58-37 league win over Liberty (Peoria, AZ).
