Centreville Bulldogs (Centreville, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Cassopolis Rangers (Cassopolis, MI), 58-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Centreville upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host St. Philip Catholic Central (Battle Creek, MI) to play the Fighting Tigers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Fighting Tigers come into the bout with a record of 6-4.

Next up, the Rangers play the Lawrence Tigers (Lawrence, MI) in a Southwest 10 bout, on Saturday, January 20. Cassopolis will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 68-19 league loss to Marcellus (Marcellus, MI).
