The Fairfield Central Griffins (Winnsboro, SC) basketball knocked off the visiting Chester Cyclones (Chester, SC), 60-49 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Griffins (5-15) will now prepare for their test against Columbia (Columbia, SC). The Capitals go into the AA Region 4 test with a 6-12 record. In their last test, Columbia went down by Fairfield Central (Winnsboro, SC), 47-42, in a league test.
The Cyclones now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Woodruff for a AAA Region 4 test on Tuesday, January 23. Chester will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 75-67 league win over Union County (Union, SC). The Wolverines record now stands at 12-8.
