River Falls Wildcats (River Falls, WI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Chippewa Falls Cardinals (Chippewa Falls, WI), 65-48 in a league bout.

With the win, River Falls upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Edina (Edina, MN) to clash with the Hornets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Edina lost 74-70 in their recent league bout against Wayzata (Plymouth, MN)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Marshfield Tigers (Marshfield, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Chippewa Falls will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 13-1 record after their 72-33 league win over Merrill (Merrill, WI).
