In Thursday's league outing, the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Colchester Lakers (Colchester, VT), by a margin of 77-53.
The Hilltoppers (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against Rutland (Rutland, VT). The Raiders go into the non-league outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, Rutland was trounced by Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT), 74-58, in a non-league outing.
The Lakers now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Champlain Valley Union for a Metro outing on Monday, January 22. Colchester will clash with a Redhawks squad coming off a 52-45 non-league win over Bellows Free Academy (St. Albans, VT). The Redhawks record now stands at 9-2.
