East Grand Forks Green Wave (East Grand Forks, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Fosston Greyhounds (Fosston, MN), 77-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Grand Forks upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Green Wave travel to Wadena-Deer Creek (Wadena, MN) to play the Wolverines in a AA Section 8 bout on Saturday, January 20. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Wadena-Deer Creek won 80-35 in their recent non-league bout against Sebeka (Sebeka, MN)

Next up, the Greyhounds play the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons (Fertile, MN) in a A Section 8 bout, on Friday, January 19. Fosston will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 81-23 league win over Badger/Greenbush-Middle River (Badger, MN).
