The Fremd Vikings basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Schaumburg Saxons to 50 in the Vikings league triumph on Thursday.
The Vikings now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Palatine for a Mid-Suburban - West contest on Monday, January 22. Fremd will meet a Pirates team coming off a 55-50 non-league loss to Mundelein (Mundelein, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 16-6.
The Saxons (13-10) will now prepare for their contest against Perspectives-IIT/Joslin (Chicago, IL). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 11-7 record. In their last contest, Perspectives-IIT/Joslin was nudged by Crane Medical (Chicago, IL), 51-46, in a league contest.
