Fuqua Falcons (Farmville, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Tidewater Academy Warriors (Wakefield, VA), 51-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Fuqua upgrades its record to 2-9 on the season. The Falcons host Southampton Academy (Courtland, VA) to clash with the Raiders in a VISAA Division III bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Southampton Academy lost 89-54 in their recent league bout against Kenston Forest (Blackstone, VA)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Banner Christian (Chesterfield, VA) in a VISAA Division IV bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Tidewater Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record.
